Liberté is the inclusive lingerie brand your closet needs

Liberté

In The Know is proud to celebrate Black-owned businesses. During Black History Month, our team will highlight a new Black-owned business each day. We encourage you to support today and beyond.

When Amber Tolliver set out to create Liberté, a premium lingerie brand, inclusivity was top-of-mind. The supermodel-turned-business-women, who self-funded the brand’s February 2019 launch, created her debut collection with 24 bra sizes ranging from 32C-38H.

During an interview with Curioxo, Tolliver said she dreamt up the idea for Liberté after making the transition from “a straight size model to a curve model.”

“I never noticed the disparity between what was available for ‘standard sizes’ and the lack of availability for anything over a D cup,” she said. “I was blindsided by the lack of sizes and more so the disappearance of styles that I liked and felt would compliment my personal style. “

The New York-based brand, produced by artisans from all over the globe, uses high-quality fabrics like Italian lace and antimicrobial, moisture-wicking micro-jersey.

From the perfect fitting bra to high-rise briefs, your undergarment wardrobe just got a whole lot chicer. Shop some top picks below.
