A magician exposed his colleague’s floating table trick. Don’t worry, it’s all in good fun. In fact, it’s actually the duo’s schtick.
We all want to know how magicians manage to trick our eyes and this pair is exposing the insider secrets one video at a time.
The magical duo is made up of Hao Yakun, aka Pokerface Man, and A Gan, aka Embarrassing Man. The pair have a video series on Kuaishou, a Chinese video-sharing app with over 720,000 followers, and a running joke in their series is Pokerface Man ruining his partner’s illusions.
In one hilarious clip, Embarrassing Man makes a small table look like it’s floating in mid-air. He moves the table from side to side, showing it off from multiple angles. Then comes the stoic Pokerface Man from out of frame.
He matter-of-factly swipes the table cloth off to reveal the strings and wires that were keeping it afloat. Embarrassing Man looks shocked and — dare we say it — embarrassed. When Embarrassing Man runs to the camera to try to turn it off, Pokerface Man pushes him to the ground and stares the camera down.
Pokerface man has spoiled Embarrassing Man’s pyrotechnic tricks, dismembering routine and mind control illusion for their video series.
Yakun has been a magician since 2009 and has amassed a large online following thanks to his steely persona. He even teaches magic courses to prospective illusionists.
