Originally born in 1986 from a passed-down Dominican family recipe in Brooklyn, Pisqueya is now a full-blown business run by Maritza Abreu, who is keeping her family’s tradition alive. Pisqueya first originated in Abreu’s family’s Brooklyn restaurant, which closed its doors after 22 years.
Now, Abreu’s goal is to share Latin and Caribbean flavors with the world, and she is doing so through Pisqueya’s online shop, which offers high-quality and natural sauces, including three different flavors.

Dubbed “hot sauce with a twist,” Pisqueya has three flavor options: Spicy Sweet, Medium Buzz and Smoky Hot. Each one is vegan, gluten-free, contains zero preservatives and uses fresh ingredients like passion fruit, carrots, jalapeño peppers, scotch bonnet peppers and more.
