On this episode of In The Know: Beauty School, celebrity makeup artist and host Patrick Ta shows us how to achieve his signature glowy makeup look, using his favorite go-to products and techniques.

Ta’s first step towards a perfect glow is applying a powder highlighter. Ta applies the Diorskin Nude Luminizer powder highlighter onto the high points of the model’s cheekbones, and the high point of the forehead. “This is really going to accentuate that cheekbone, giving it more of that lifted look,” says Ta.

Next, Ta takes out the Patrick Ta Major Glow Balm, and using a beauty blender, he applies the cream to the highpoints of the cheekbones. Once the balm is applied, Ta uses a beauty blender to apply some Patrick Ta Double-Take Cream & Powder Blush, which Ta loves for its “bronzy, almost sunkissed look,” and blends it right onto the apples of the cheeks. “This is really going to help melt any powder blush that may have been there, and this is going to allow everything to look more like skin,” says Ta.

Now, it’s time to glow up the inner part of the eye, going down to the bridge of the nose. Using a small, fine pencil brush, Ta draws a thin line of Diorskin Nude Luminizer down the bridge of the nose, and adds a little bit to the eye area to “bring a little bit of light into the corners of the eyes.”

Once the face is glowed up and ready, Ta moves onto the exposed skin on the upper part of the model’s body. He sprays some Patrick Ta Major Glow Body Oil, and blends it in. “You want to make sure that if you’re wearing a tank top, the rest of your body isn’t mattified if your face isn’t mattified,” shares Ta.

If you happen to go overboard with your glow-up, Ta says not to worry!  “If you ever get too much glow towards the center of your face, towards your smile lines, take a little bit of powder, or your beauty blender, and press that in just to mattify it out, and the rest of your face will be nice and glowy,” suggests Ta.

When it comes to getting that perfect glow, who better to learn from than the master of glow himself!
