A dad sings the praises of rap music for kids.
The father posted a viral clip of his baby girl completely entranced by a trap song on TikTok. The little one is pretty much destined to be a future hip-hop head. The music didn’t sound all too different from the beats adult trap fans listen to, but the lyrical content was quite different.
“We found a kid’s rap channel, and she loves it,” the father said.
“This song is dedicated to Cartner, to Gideon and to Gabe. It’s called ‘I Love My Mom,'” a rapper said in the song intro.
The song then repeated the same phrase to a chill trap beat, “I love my mom / I love my mom / l love my mom.”
The baby girl sat cross-legged, bopping her head to the beat as she suckled her pacifier. She was definitely vibing.
The hilarious video racked up over 1.8 million views on TikTok.
“This song is good for language development. It’s educational. It has a steady beat, repeats and [has a] clear tone of voice,” a user commented.
“How she patiently waited for the beat to drop,” another said.
“My kids love their songs! My favorite part is that I can actually stand listening to them. Most kids’ songs drive me crazy,” someone wrote.
The track is actually from “Kids Trap: A Wholesome Rap Album for Kids” by Blake Rules and Netherfriends.
Other lyrics include, “If my mom tells me to clean my room / I clean my room ’cause I love my mom / If my mom tells me to wash my hands / I wash my hands ’cause I love my mom.”
“‘Kids Trap’ is a rap album I made just for kids with songs about dinosaurs, outer space, reading books and loving you…” Rules said on Twitter.
