A TikTok influencer and her son are blowing up on the platform all thanks to their take on a viral trend.

Kellie Herron and her 3-year-old son Carson are the duo behind the TikTok account @_carsongang_, which boasts 4.6 million followers and is a treasure trove of “wholesome content.” Kellie loves to prank her son with TikTok filters and other silly pranks and record his reaction, but one prank in particular — and Carson’s unexpected response to it — left the internet stunned.

On Feb. 10, Kellie decided to serve Carson an empty plate of food to see how he would react. As she explained to TODAY Parents, her son is a big foodie, so she “thought he might get mad.”

That’s not what happened, though.

In a surprising turn of events, Carson started off confused, but eventually shook off his confusion and accepted that his food was just “gone.”

“What happened? Mom, what happened?” Carson asked his mom as his lip trembles.

“I don’t know,” she responded.

“That’s okay! That’s okay!” he said, shaking off his sorrow.

Seeing how well her son handled the situation, Kellie couldn’t take it anymore. She explained to Carson that it’s not OK, and that she was going to go get him his food.

“I couldn’t take it anymore,” Kellie told TODAY Parents. “I was horrified. I was about to cry.”

In the comments, TikTok users praised the sweet boy for how well he handled the conundrum.

“The most grateful child I’ve ever seen in my life,” one person said.

“He really shook it off and was like you know what… this is just a minor inconvenience and it’s okay. Mental health legend,” another added.

“You raised him so well,” a third commented. “I adore him.”
