Spring is here and outdoor camping trips are going to be big this season when it comes to staycations. If you’re not into the idea of spending hours setting up camp, you’ll be happy to know you don’t have to. This QOMOTOP pop-up tent was a must for my own recent backyard camping experience.

Yes, I really camped in my backyard in the Bronx. However, people heading into the legit woods will find this QOMOTOP pop-up tent perfect for their needs, as well. Setting it up is quite literally is a throw-and-go process. The tent arrives folded in a large circular nylon bag. Once you remove the strap that holds the tent in its circular position, simply throw it and it will pop open into a bug-like igloo shape. You can keep the tent secured using the four ropes attached at the top of the tent with eight easy-to-use pegs included in the packaging.

For my 5-foot-10-inch stature, the tent is fairly spacious. According to the product description, it can fit up to four adults or one queen size airbed. Plus, it’s waterproof and has lots of ventilation. There are two large entry windows on either side of the tent with double-sided zippers that unzip into “French windows.” There are also four more zip windows on both sides of the tent and there are even two roof vents.

While the 10-second setup is very nifty, I love it even more for the price, and that’s it’s available on Amazon.

Many customers expressed concerns about putting the tent back in the bag, but one person wrote in their review that it takes just a few tries.

“It is bigger than me so folding it back up takes a little bit, but still so freaking easy,” they wrote. ‘Easy setup —seriously just toss it in the air, (makes me laugh when it lands upside down, but easily flip-able).”

Another customer who had a positive experience with the tent said it was “so roomy.”

So easy to set up and break down!” the shopper wrote. “I usually don’t leave reviews but this tent deserves one.
Just watch the video a couple of times for the breakdown, then it’s smooth sailing! And it’s so roomy inside.”

There are other pop-up tents that also have Amazon shoppers’ attention. If you’re a stargazer, this Coleman two-person tent is an Amazon’s Choice pick that offers window ventilation on the roof of the tent. And, if you’re a family of five, the Moon Lence Instant Pop Up is another waterproof option that you can assemble in minutes.

Whichever tent you decide on, make sure you’ve got enough ventilation and that it pops for super easy setup.
