This mom of three has got her hair routine down to simple science. Now she’s bestowing her wisdom on TikTok.
A TikToker who goes by Courtney is a hairstylist and mother to three kids. She vlogs about mom life and raising baby twins and a toddler. Despite her hectic life, Courtney can still look put together and rock her signature beach curls. The mother shared how she achieves the polished look in just four minutes.
“I’m going to show you how, as a busy mom of three, I get these curls in under four minutes,” Courtney said.
The mom divided her hair into four sections, then she curled each section.
“Leave the hair on the curling iron a little longer than you normally would. Then, pull the curling iron straight down,” she explained.
The key is to refrain from touching the curl until it’s completely cool. She usually finishes her makeup and getting ready while her curls are setting.
“Then, once it’s completely cool, spray it with some hairspray,” Courtney said. “I like to use a working spray so that it’s very touchable. Run your hands through it, pick apart pieces and mess with it until it looks great.”
Courtney finger combs her curls because, as she says, using a brush can flatten the look. After a few seconds of separating her curls, the look is perfected. She did provide one disclaimer, however, saying that it may take you longer than four minutes the first few tries.
