You can send them within a few minutes to hours to your recipient. If you’re not sure which store is your friend or family member’s favorite, you can always go with a retailer like Amazon, which has everything.
However, if you want to send them something physical, something that feels more personalized (or grandma just doesn’t use email), you can check out these retailers that offer same-day delivery on sweet treats, beauty products, home goods, apparel and more.
1. Cookies by Design, $20.99+
Cookies by Design is known for its beautiful yet deliciously decorated sugar cookies. Luckily, the retailer offers same-day and next-day shipping in many areas of the country on cookie baskets and cakes for every occasion.
3. Edible Arrangements, $21.99+
Edible Arrangements may be known for its impressive fruit bouquets, but the company can also deliver cookies, chocolate-covered strawberries, mini cheesecakes, balloons and more on the same day as ordered. Items generally ship from your local Edible Arrangements location, but if your recipient doesn’t live near one, it can ship nationally via FedEx.
3. FTD Flowers, $30+
FTD Flowers works with local florists to provide same-day delivery on orders placed as late as 2 p.m. in the recipient’s time zone. Simply go online, choose your bouquet and vase (or plant) and hit send. It only takes a few minutes to brighten someone’s day.
4. Bed Bath & Beyond, $5+
Send home goods and more from Bed Bath & Beyond with same-day shipping for only $9.99 if your recipient lives near a store. Cut-off times for same-day delivery will vary based on location. However, it’s a great option for sending a friend or family member a new Nespresso coffee machine or some luxurious towels and beauty products for an at-home spa day.
5. Target via Shipt, $5+
Target provides same-day delivery on everything from groceries and alcohol to clothing and electronics via Shipt. You can send someone dinner, stock their bar cart, get them a new outfit and more, all with items from Target. When you go to Target’s website, click on “Pickup & Delivery” in the top menu and choose the same-day option to shop items available for quick delivery.
6. Sephora via Instacart, $5+
Sephora teamed up with Instacart in 2020 to provide same-day delivery in areas where it has a store. So, if your recipient lives within a 30-minute drive within a Sephora, you can send them all the skin care, makeup, hair care and more.
7. Macy’s via DoorDash, $5+
Macy’s offers same-day shipping via Drive, DoorDash’s white-label fulfillment platform. When you’re shopping on Macy’s website, check the “same-day delivery” option on the left side of the page to find the items that are in stock at a store near your recipient. Orders have to be placed by 12 p.m. local time and are delivered between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m local time – and you can send almost anything!
