A dad went viral on TikTok for giving his daughter the blue braids she had been dreaming of.
Anthony Armstrong is the self-professed “coolest dad on TikTok.” The father really earned his stripes when he took advantage of a real “hold my beer” moment. Armstrong’s daughter requested blue braids. So the father went above and beyond to create the perfect look for her.
“When my daughter says she wants blue braids… Hold my beer,” Armstrong wrote in the caption.
Armstrong meticulously braided his daughter’s hair. He gave her a crown of long cornrows with blue hair woven into each braid. Then he added some heat-activated hair product before showing off the finished product. Intricate hair braiding like Armstrong’s can take hours, so the father was nothing short of devoted.
The father-daughter moment racked up 16.4 million views and 2.5 million likes on TikTok.
“The fact that he’s making an effort to make her happy is melting my heart,” a user commented.
“My dad cut my bangs with a pocket knife,” another joked.
“The things I would do to have a dad like this. Luckily my kids’ dad is just as loving as you are! Thank you for being a great role model,” someone added.
